CONSERVE WATER – help our struggling Spokane River. A message brought to you by Jora Gleason, 14, and Samarra Salcido, 11.

Kendall Yards / West Central Neighborhood and Peaceful Valley are defined by the Spokane River.  During this season of drought, Spokane River flows have dropped to near historic lows. The river is in terrible trouble, in part because of the Spokane community’s failure to use water wisely.

In August, CELP and our local Upper Columbia River Group of Sierra Club launched the H2KNOW campaign to remind neighbors that water conservation is essential to the survival of the Spokane River.  H2KNOW joined with the City of Spokane, encouraging citizens to reduce their water use by 10-20 percent.

On October 9 in Kendall Yards, your RSVP is requested to join us for a benefit to help our River and expand the work of the H2KNOW campaign.  We’ll gather at the new Spark Center in Kendall Yards for a benefit for the River, by the River.

The River Remembers . . . and so should we.
